The Studio
KetubahColors, part of MPress Productions, is a fine arts studio located in Tel-Aviv Israel. Artist Monicka Clio Sakki creates works of art that result in a play between inspiration and tradition, words and colors, beauty and professional knowledge. Monicka's dream is to lend Judaica Art a new face; to combine old traditions with an uplifting design sense, contemporary colors and bold graphics.
She draws each art element by hand, and then blends everything together using state of the art computer software. Some designs take two days, some two weeks. She knows when a Ketubah design is ready when she feels a) surprised, b) delighted.
Every Ketubah that Monicka creates is a unique work of art that combines her signature artistry, together with the personal identity of your union.
About the Artist
Monicka Clio Sakki is an artist who was born and raised in Athens, Greece, in a Jewish home, and has also lived in New York and Israel. She has experienced Judaism from different angles: In Greece, among a minority community, in New York, among a large Jewish community surrounded by a multicultural world, in Tel-Aviv and Haifa among secular Israelis, and in a Kibbutz in the north of Galilee, where the Jewish traditions are translated in a most creative way.
Monicka has had the opportunity to connect with her heritage and roots, and to find her own way to express her faith throughout daily life among the different countries, communities and friends she has gathered from her three homes and extended travels.
Not only her view of Judaism, but also her aesthetic vision and inspiration, have undergone transformations only to emerge within a truly authentic expression that unites tradition and style.
Monicka Clio Sakki holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications and a Master's degree in Liberal Arts, with a major focus on Symbolism. She runs her own fine arts studio and publishing business, MPress Productions. Monicka is a recognized illustrator of children’s books, the creator of Sakki-Sakki, and of The Sakki-Sakki Tarot-for the Artist in Each of Us, and author of Playing with Symbols- The Essential Companion Book to Your Creative Journey.
